My understanding was that neither Bute nor Andrade wanted to be in the tourney, opting for their rematch instead. Given that, who else are you going to take over Taylor? Allan Green? No way. I'd say it's a definitive yes, but I'm looking forward to watching him get a whoopin.

Yes, he belongs in the tournament. Taylor brings the biggest name to the event.

I think Bute should have got in, but all and all this will be a good tournament. They did a good job by getting 6 guys and their promoters to all agree to terms and fight in the tournament.

Definitely. As exciting as Taylor-Froch was, it'd have been insane not to involve him. That's just from a marketing standpoint. He deserves to be there on merit, too.

No matter what happened in Taylors last few fights you still can't sleep on him. It would hae been interesting with Bute or Andrade but I still say Jermain deserves the nod!

Ever since Jermain was at his peak, he's been like a balloon losing its air. This will be a great opportunity for him to revive a sinking impression.
Here's an early 'thank you' to Showtime for hosting the tournament. And a prayer for Nick Charles.

Anybody who's seconds away from beating the 3rd best super middle in the world (Abraham doesn't count as super middle yet) should be considered. It amazes me how Dirrell was in just on pure talent. Dirrell has beaten Oganov. Taylor has beaten Hopkins twice and drawn once and he's the one that doesn't deserve a spot! LOL
Green should stop pissin about and fight Andrade in an all out brawl once Andrade gets whooped by Bute in the sequel. Is that the most exciting match-up to watch at 168, Andrade-Green?
Bute should be in it. No doubt about it. I think Bute would kick Froch's arse, give Kessler a run for his money and most probably beat Abraham. Bute can outbox Taylor, can outfox Dirrell, and can outmanouver Ward.
What's this about Taylor being 167 already!? Rumours or truth?

LOL But this opens the debate that I started in my article: What, exactly, has Taylor accomplished at 168? Is he there on reputation or accomplishment? Is it fair to rate a fighter based on what he did in another division? This is why our BTBC World Rankings are above and beyond what anyone else has to offer...IMO, a fighter should be ranked based on what he's actually accomplished within his own division...In that case, Dirrell HAS accomplished more at 168 than Taylor Personally, Taylor belongs in the tourney IMO for promotional purposes only...on accomplishment, he most certainly does not belong...there are at least a half dozen fighters who belong more than he does...
