Whoow, though my mind goes for Cotto but my heart goes to Manny.
Let's see how Freddie prepares Pac for this bout.
I think 145 is fair for both, but I think there's a little advantage for Cotto, I think Cotto's last fight weight is around 146 right? So Cotto is not really handicapped at this bout.
I remember Paul saying that Cotto will be raped negotiating with Pac's people but it wasn't, he was just a li'l bit molested ;D ;D ;D

Whatever the stipulations are, I hope this fight really happens. No matter the outcome! I do feel that this will be a hard one to predict. And the boxing god said "let there be fight" and there was fight!

i never wanted to see pac versus floyd or cotto. i've always made that clear. But im glad Cotto is finally getting his shot at the big time. Floyd and ODLH didn't give him that shot but he is finally getting what is due to him after such a long time. It really does mix things up nicely i hope Cotto wins so then we can finally have Cotto vs Floyd I agree with you 100% Miguel Cotto finally gets his shot at the spot light. While De La Hoya and Mayweather never gave him that opprotunitty to shine.nothing but big things for both fighters. I hope Cotto wins , so he and Mosley can square off. Or lets see if Mayweather says he wants the winner of this fight which will be the next biggest fight.

I've been waiting a long time for Mayweather vs Cotto fight. And I wish it happens in 2010! But I think Mosley deserves his rematch but I don't think Mosley can demand anything after Cotto beat PacMan. If Mosley wants it he might have to come back to NY!

Superstars Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees can’t wait for the Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto mega fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 14. “I love Manny,” said Kobe. “I enjoy being around people who are just as competitive, who have the same passion and work ethic. If I don’t have a game that night I’ll be there.” Jeter is looking for two ringside tickets. The New York Giants football team is off that weekend and some of the top players will be heading in for the fight. One of Cotto’s biggest fans is Carlos Beltran of the New York Mets. He has been at ringside for many of Cotto’s big fights. “We are getting so many calls from sports and entertainment stars,” said Bob Arum. “This is going to be a premier sports event.” Kobe met Pacquiao at a recent Nike commerical video shoot in Los Angeles. Kobe spoke about Pacquiao while at a Nike press function in Makati City, Philippines. Kobe was quoted about Manny on the GMA.News.TV website. —– Top Rank will soon announce details how to purchase tickets for the mega fight. —– Top Rank plans to call Pacquiao vs Cotto “POWER SURGE.”
Pacquiao-Cotto tickets!
By Nick Giongco Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum told Fightnews and Manila Bulletin that tickets for the Nov. 14 bout between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto will be priced at $1,000, $750, $500, $300 and $150 and that it will go on sale beginning next month. The 12-round welterweight war will be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with Pacquiao already installed a 2-1 favorite over the shaven-skulled bomber from Caguas, Puerto Rico. July 21st, 2009

Cotto/Pacquiao will be the most excitin fight this year!... 2 of the best fighters of this time are gonna go at it... It'll definitely be worth the money and worth watchin!...
Most people expect Cotto 2 win, but I definitely think the possibility 4 Pac-Man 2 win is there as well... Me personally, I'm still not completely convinced that Cotto is 100% since the loss 2 Margarito and contrary 2 belief, I think Pac-Man does have decent power at Junior Welterweight/Welterweight weight classes... I'm curious 2 see whether or not Cotto will be able 2 catch Pac-Man with some body shots and take some of Manny's power punches... I think if he can succeed at both, he'll beat Manny...
Like I said before, I'm still curious as 2 whether or not Pac-Man will be able 2 take a flush, clean, body shot from a guy like Cotto... I don't think there's any fighter of this era that can go 2 the body like Cotto... Even though I feel like Cotto kind of abandoned goin 2 the body since the Margarito fight, I feel his body shots will have 2 be his biggest asset against Pacquiao... He can't smother Pacquiao with pressure either... That's what got Hatton knocked out in the first place when he fought Pac-Man... Tryin 2 smother Pac-Man in hopes of slowin em down and throwin random punches in hopes of connectin... I'll also be curious 2 see how Cotto deals with Pac-Man's speed...
I don't expect Pac-Man 2 steam roll Cotto, but I don't expect Cotto 2 steam roll Pac-Man either...

Don't see anyone going for the kill unless Cotto struggles to make the weight. Give Pacquiao a slight advantage though but hopefully Cotto wins

I don't think the weight will be a problem for Cotto considering that his last fight he came in at 146. I don't think 1 pound will make a difference.
I know Cotto will be able to handle PacMans power the question is will Pacman be able to handle Cotto's power.
And Cotto neutralises speed by cutting off the ring and his timing. Juadah and Mosley are faster then Pacman and Cotto handled them well. And they are both bigger punchers.

No way they can't do that. The fight is at 145 all he has to do is weigh in on the day of the weigh in at 145. Then he will go up to 154 on fight night and be as strong as ever.

Watch...there'll be some detail that screws with Cotto's weight and/or training...

Isn't there a clause saying that they can't rehydrate over 15 pounds over the weight?
