20 of the all-time heavyweight greats will battle it out in a round robin tournament to determine who is the best heavyweight of all time. The fights will be simulated on Title Bout Championship Boxing.
Here are a list of the 20 competitors: Muhammad Ali, Riddick Bowe, Jack Demsey, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, Peter Jackson, James Jeffries, Jack Johnson, Vitali Klitschko, Lennox Lewis, Sonny Liston, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Sam McVey, Floyd Patterson, Max Schmelling, Mike Tyson, Jersey Joe Walcott, Harry Wills
After they face everyone once, the 8 top heavyweights will face each other in a knockout tournament. One of these heavyweights will be crowned the Heavyweight Round Robin Champion.
The round robbing scoring system is similar to the Showtime Super 6 Boxing Classic scoring.
2 points for a win 1 point for a draw 0 points for a defeat
A bonus point is awarded if the fight is not in the judges hands, KO/TKO/DQ
The first round match-ups are: Jack Dempsey vs. Riddick Bowe George Foreman vs. Peter Jackson Larry Holmes vs. Max Schmelling Lennox Lewis vs. James Jeffries Sonny Liston vs. Joe Frazier Joe Louis vs. Jack Johnson Rocky Marciano vs. Vitali Klitschko Sam McVey vs. Floyd Patterson Mike Tyson vs. Jersey Joe Walcott Harry Wills vs. Muhammad Ali
The results will be up on Saturday.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The big bout of the week is Joe Louis vs. Jack Johnson. Early thoughts on the tournament winner, the big bout of the week and the other match-ups?

Ali wins...turn off the computer ;D
Interesting idea...I assume all of these fighters are in their primes? And which era Ali are they using? Ali was at his prime pre-suspension, but he accomplished more past his physical prime...
A real fun one would be middleweights...

Cruiserweight: 10 man maybe 12 Light Heavy: 20 Round Robin Middleweight: 20 Round Robin Welterweight: 20 Round Robin Lightweight: 20 Round Robin Featherweight: 20 Round Robin Bantamweight: 10 man maybe 12 Maybe a Flyweight tourno Ali vs. Marciano is next week. Honestly, I reckon Dempsey will shock us all and take the crown. Maybe Foreman could KO everyone and win it. And with this one I'm not making 100 simulations. It's just one. So there is a chance of upsets unlike with 100 simulations. It's a prime physical condition Ali.

The one factor that makes these computer simulations suspect, IMO, is that it removes one of the most important determining factors of the game: Psychology. Ali was a master of the mind game and a master at ring psychology...He had tremendous physical gifts, but his mind was the biggest factor in his success...How can they calculate that? But, in any case, this is still a very interesting read...

Some match-ups will be quality anything involving, Ali, Marciano, J Johnson, Louis, Dempsey, Lewis will be interesting. Psychology. There is some sort of a rating for it but don't know how you can rate psychology really! Intellect, out of 10 Ali is 10. I expect Ali, Marciano, Dempsey, Lewis, Louis and Jack Johnson will comfortably fill top 6. Then you have Tyson, Bowe, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, Liston maybe Patterson, Schmelling, Klitschko and Jeffries can stand a puncher/boxer's chance.

A good read. Marciano seems to be a bit inflated on the game. For example, he Ko'd Vitali!?!? lol.
I did a similar albeit less detailed and thorough tournie on my game and Dempsey beat Ali in the final. Dempsey if i remember had a hell of a run, beating Johnson, Louis and finally Ali. Sonny Liston did well to reach the semi.
