“I beat fighters and turn them into bitches and they go out and put on fish-nets. That's what I do.”
-- Mayweather (with Oscar De la Hoya on stage with him) at the press conference announcing his fight with JMM.

Even after 19 months out he doesn't appear to be rusty. He even showed his ability to fight smaller fighters is still intact.

Once again this is why I hate Mayweather. Instead of fighting someone who campaigns in the weight class that he wants to fight in he chooses to fight Marquez who is 130 lbs fighter who just moved up to 135 and wants to fight him at 147 , . Instead of fighting someone like Shane Mosley who has been calling him out for years and is the 147lb Champion. He would rather make Marquez move up in weight. And you call that P4P? Fight Miguel Cotto or Shane Mosley if you want the respect of the fans. And what is funny he wants the winner of Hatton vs Pacman. But Bob Arum is not going for that. So he is going to have to fight the big boys sooner then later or retire again as a coward who refused to fight people who have a chance. I hope Marquez beats Mayweather which I doubt will happen since he is physically much smaller. Pacman is the Pound 4 Pound Best and he earned it! Even with Mayweather back. Pacman is still number 1. And Mayweather will have to work his way back to number 1 and beating Marquez will not make him number 1. Who is he kidding saying Marquez beat Pacman 2x's so that make him the best opponent ?? Lets see him fight someone in his weight class!! He hasn't fought anyone in his weight class since winning the belt.

Now, where exactly does Mayweather get the reputation of always fighting smaller fighters? Last I checked, he's been moving UP in weight since he was a Super Featherweight. The Hatton fight is the only one where you can reasonably say that Mayweather chose to fight the smaller guy...and even then, Hatton was, at one point, WBA Welterweight champ and ranked among the top 10 welters by Ring Magazine...
There is only fighter who you can reasonably say was skipped over by Mayweather in his entire career and that was Cotto, when PBF opted to fight Hatton instead...Even then, there's very little to back up a claim that Mayweather "ducked" him any more than Mosley is "ducking" Andre Berto or Pacquiao will be "ducking" Juan Urango...
Glad to see that the Mayweather Hater's Club isn't at all rusty... ;D

Floyd has perfect timing. Retired at a time when Cotto was hot fire and everyone was calling for that fight. Then comes back to fight JMM and Pacman who are two smaller guys he is sure to beat. If he wont fight Cotto or Mosley at welterweight, at least fight the smaller guys at their weight classes. It is really unfair for JMM to have to go up to 145 and face a guy like Floyd first time out. I dont wana see this fight

Great point Paul PBF started at 130 and has fought as high as 154. WTF r yall talking about? Should he fight Kilts or something I mean damn. Cotto is good but people want to see JMM v Money May then the winner v Pac man. Yall act like Mayweather walks around at 200lbs!

Ever since I so joyfully downloaded a stellar birds-eye photo of Hatton lying flat -- in a straight line over the word ROCKSTAR, though his flattened body blocked part of the letter "C" so it looked like "ROOKSTAR" (hmmm... rook... a little telling) -- I would love to have a similar shot of PBF in a similar spot, and similar shot, should fate have him land horizontally and the floor would be sponsored once again by Rockstar. But honestly, I can't really picture Mayweather losing.
It would be sorta like Santa wearing green.

He has gone up in weight to fight #1 and #2 guys in all divisions he went to with the exc of DLH. So I have no Idea what you guys are talking about! Who has he fought that is smaller? You gotta give Mayweather props for taking JMM as a tune up! How many fighters will take JMM as a tune up? Yeah! thats right think about it!

Glad to see that the Mayweather Hater's Club isn't at all rusty... ;D He moves up in weight and fights the weakest fighter in the division the fighter who is most beatable! Has not fought anyone at 147! Claiming to be the best! He had unfinished buisness at 140 before he moved up and at 147 he beat Baldomir and he is the best. Baldomir is a fluke he wasn't supposed to be a champion! Never was and never will be. But thanks to Zab Judah for not training and partying he did. Mayweather has talent but he is not the best hasn't fought the best to be considered the best. He beat Hatton yea in 10 rds PacMan in 2. Manny Pacquiao is the best right now until someone beats him!

He fought Hatton when at 147 when Collazo whipped Hatton at 147. Now Marquez who is a 126Lb fighter who just recently moved up to 135 and had a tough fight with Juan Diaz. And he wants the fight to take place at 147. If he is so good he can fight Marquez at 140.
