On to a more light-hearted topic...Put your keen eye and Photoshop abilities to the test and show us some more examples of "Separated at Birth" featuring some of our favorite boxers. Here are my first two entries: Antonio Margarito and the Geico Man: James Toney and McDonalds' lovable Playland character, Grimace: ------------------------------------------ Rock Newman... ...and late '80s studio wrestler Akeem the African Dream? --------------------------------------------------------- Oleg Maskaev and Bill Belichick ------------------------------------------------------------------ or, how about.... Miguel Cotto...and Dr. Evil? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Iran Barkley... ...and Biz Markie? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freddie Roach... ...and the guy from Discovery TV's "Mythbusters"? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- '70s Duran... ...and '70s Manson? I mean, a little bit, right? Come on. It's Halloween. Got to credit (or blame) zd PBD for getting me thinking on that. -------------------------------------------------------- I know, he's far from a boxer, but this one always kind of made me chuckle. Here's my favorite frontman, the drunken Shane MacGowan of the amazing Pogues the best band in the history of man: and here's his lookalike: Uncanny! ------------------------------------------------------------------- PBD, ZD...For some reason, I couldn't get your pics to work properly. So, when you get a chance re-post them- they are classics.

So it's not boxing related, but just for my man Mack, I got to include this one (which, I admit, I boosted from Conan O'Brien). Obama White House deputy chief Mona Sutphen... ...and the Black and Gold's chief de-cleater, Troy Polamalu?

Thanks, fish, but hey, they did it on Conan first. I can't take any credit, but I thought it was pretty good. And I know there are some Steeler fans lurking about.

Separated at girth: Mike Tyson and the guy down the street? Are those Dockers Comfort Fits R? No, Mike! No! It's Iron Mike, not Wrinkle-Free Mike! And you're supposed to be the Baddest Man on the Planet, not the Blandest Man Shaped Like a Planet! (But Tyson could still kick any boxing writer's ass. They'll all goof in unison at this one, but they know. They know it's true.)

Not to sound like too much of a sap, but if Tyson is trading being pear-shaped and dressing like a middle-aged suburbanite for being chemical-free and having a sane, relatively peaceful life, I'm glad for him. Hell, I'll go ahead and sound like a sap. It's the holiday season. And for Christmas, I'd like to see our Mike bust Dan Rafael Tim Dahlberg in the midsection. Just once.
