Calzaghe vs. Foster at Light Heavyweight...who wins and why?

Joe Calzaghe's work rate would be too much for Foster. Foster wouldn't be able to hit Calzaghe either and I would love to see CompBox stats. Calzaghe by very wide decision. Prime Calzaghe with his Frazieresque left-hook might knock Foster down.

My prediction? Calzaghe calls Foster out and finds a way to back out...
Calzaghe, TKO 5...but against Mario Veit. ;D

I saw the fight between Ali and foster, where he got his ass handed to him. Other then that dont know enough about him. Sooooooo........tentatively I'd have to pick Joe Calzaghe on this one.

Yes Paul it was a sarcastic joke! ;D Even though Calzaghe had a decent left hook before he broke it more times than Robin Reid was on the canvas against Jeff Lacy, it was nowhere near Frazier standard!!!!! Still don't see Calzaghe stopping Foster but seeing him winning by a very wide decision. It would be like Calzaghe's schooling of Lacy!

What would your outcome be Mr Magno? Foster wouldn't win surely!? ;D I said already...Calzaghe via TKO 5- over Mario Veit But seriously, if Calzaghe did find himself in the ring with Foster, it would be tough to maintain a high work rate against a guy with heavy-ass hands and a long reach like Foster... But given that Calzaghe would probably have home field advantage, maybe Calzaghe via horribly dull and close UD, but he will be WAY on the outside for the entire fight and not engage in anything even close to combat... If the fight were at a neutral venue and Calzaghe were forced to fight, Foster eventually tags Joe and its lights out, Mike Quarry-style... Least we forget Foster and begin to think of him in less-than-stellar fashion:

This is a tough one, Foster did have heavy hands but I don't think he would find Joe that easily. Calzaghe by a UD.

This is a tough one, Foster did have heavy hands but I don't think he would find Joe that easily. Calzaghe by a UD. But Foster would be the taller fighter with a huge reach advantage. He would have to come in range at some point and I don't think he is slick enough to avoid those bombs all fight.

You definitely have a point Punch, but if Hopkins and Jones couldn't do it , I think Foster might have a problem. Calzaghe would be moving a lot, I think it would all come down to the type of judges that were judging!
