As all of our members know, we are trying to expand the BTBC and provide more services. Among the items on our list of priorities is Free HD Boxing Streams to All Members and an Increased Presence and Influence in the Boxing Community, with the possiblilty of sponsoring young fighters down the line.
Unfortunately, in order to do this, we must have a base budget with which to work; A large enough budget, at least, for us to buy and/or rent the source materials needed for expansion.
Personally, I'm working in Mexico and often end up doing work for free or in exchange for food or services due to the rough economic times. Otherwise, I'd happily put forth the start-up money, which is less than $400 US...
So, this community will have to raise revenue as a group in order to fund the expansion and provide more services for us.
You can do this in several ways:
1) Keep visiting and contributing to the board and reading our blog. Keeping the BTBC alive and vital with solid posts and interesting topics will help boost traffic and bring more members. The added traffic and membership will raise money via the existsing ads on the board. Printing and distributing our flyer will also help greatly.
2) Donate via PayPal by hitting the donation button at the top of the board. We have had a couple of generous donors and are hoping for some more. $1, $5, $10, $20 ...whatever you can afford is appreciated and will go right back into the BTBC.
3) Do your online shopping via The BTBC's Amazon stores.
For members in the United States: www.btbc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=amazon
For members in the UK: www.btbc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=amazonuk
The BTBC receives a 4% commission on all sales in the US and 5% on all sales from the UK.
Please don't think this is a hard sell for cash..The BTBC will go on exactly "as is" even if nobody cares to help fund the expansion. Actually, I detest writing these posts, but I do have a vision for our organization that involves some fairly big things down the road. I see the BTBC as a community that could easily become something even bigger and more important...This will not always be just a boxing message board and accompanying blog!
As a way to establish good faith and an "above board" mentality, I will soon begin to post revenue reports with screen captures of our earnings each 2 weeks...
Thanks...and Long Live The BTBC!
