Hi Guys, this has been a long time coming, but I want to make some changes in the way we do things for our Predictor League...Nothing drastic, though:
For new members, our Predictor League is run just like real Boxing- accumulate a good won/loss record and work your way up the ranks until you get your shot at the champ.
Wild Card Challenges are issued with the winner also getting a shot at the title regardless of won/loss record.
Our secondary, Brothers on Boxing title goes to the member who makes a picture perfect prediction, complete with round of stoppage or judges' scores...
The Rules Clarifications are as follows:
1) A participant will get credit for a KO on his record ONLY if he either correctly predicts the manner of decisions (UD, SD, MD, TD, D) or if his prediction is within one round, in any direction, of the actual round of the KO/TKO...For example: If you predict Spinks KO3 or Spinks TKO3, you will only get credit for the KO on your record if Spinks scores the KO/TKO in rounds 2,3 or 4.
2) A participant will need to have at least 20 official predictions before he's issued a won/loss percentage and allowed a top ranking. If you have less than 20 official predictions, you can still participate in the league and you will still be ranked, but in the case of a tie, the more senior member will get preference.
3) I will edit out all the inactive members who are currently listed in our rankings. If a participant hasn't issued a prediction in more then 10 official bouts or if he/she has been inactive on the board for a period of time, they won't be listed with the rest of us. I will keep their info on record and if they ever come back, I'll be more than happy to list them once again.
4) In instances where more than one challenger makes the correct prediction, the participant with the MOST ACCURATE prediction will be named the winner. If it's still a tie, the most accurate prediction in the tie-breaker will be declared the winner and champ...In the case of all parties making an incorrect prediction, the title does NOT change hands.
5) A challenger who fails to take the title from the champion must sit out one full week of competition before he's allowed to challenge for the title again, even if he's the rightful #1 contender. He can still make his predictions, though...The only exeption to this is if strange circumstances take place and an executive order is given.
Other than these things, everything's the same...Good Luck!
