Yes, Wing Chun is where Bruce Lee started. It's a great art form as well as a tool for self defense. I've always had an interest in it.
I've been involved in boxing my whole life, but one of my daughters is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I'm actually looking into Jiu Jitsu for myself now. Not for competition, just as another means of self defense too add to the boxing.
Keep us posted on your progress and good luck ;D

i just started this martial art about 4 weeks ago, its going quite well... anyone else do martial arts? I haven't, but I used to live near a dojo where they taught what they termed "Japanese karate" (I wouldn't know the difference) and did a lot of breaking. I'd watch sometimes, but I never took part. Much success with your studies, gemini!

Isn't it interesting how fighting basically goes against all our natural human instincts? When being punched, the instinct is to go away...a fighter learns to stay put and alter the angle of impact... Defense is such a brilliant art...I could do defense drills in the gym for hours...I seriously think that everyone, at some point, should study some sort of combat art...It improves your focus and gives you the inner strength to deal with difficult times...
